Baby Bunny Update - Six new bundles of joy delivered on Christmas Day!

Christmas morning arrived along with six new baby bunnies at Silver Dollar Stables. Parents Mufasa and Rafiki are very proud of their new (and final!) offspring: Comet, Cupid, Rudolf, Olive (the other reindeer), Batman, and Mini-Enzo.

"Life will find a way." - Dr. Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park

In the movie Jurassic Park, scientists used frog DNA to complete the "holes" in the dino-DNA from fossilized mosquitoes. This allowed some female dinosaurs to become males and - VOILA! - there were baby dinosaurs.

While we don't genetically engineer the animals at Silver Dollar Stables, life did "find a way" in our rabbit hutch!

Rafiki and Mufassa were Rex/Angora "brothers" when we adopted them at the Camelot Auction this summer. Imagine our surprise when one of our bachelor brothers gave birth! Like the Tribbles from Star Trek, the Silver Dollar Bunnies are furry and lovable and can multiply faster than most supercomputers!

We engaged noted Starfleet Animal Science Officer Kaitlyn Stevens to examine the bunnies and compare their DNA to that of Tribbles. According to Dr. Stevens, "My analysis shows there is enough Tribble DNA in these rabbits to account for the expanding populations. It is fascinating although it is not logical."

After comparing the baby bunnies and their DNA with Tribbles Dr. Stevens (left) and her 21st century assistant, Hannah (right), also examined each of the two "brothers." They were found to be both cute and adorable.

Congrats to Holly for adopting Spaz and Fluffy, and the Hanks for being the new proud home of Tanker and Coco. Curly and Pfieffer will continue to make their home at Silver Dollar Stables!
